8th MARCH INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY.
The first celebration of Women's Day, called "National Women's Day", was celebrated on February 28th, 1909 in New York City, organized by the Socialist Party of America. The day commemorated a protest by garment workers in New York on March 8th.
